The Right Brain vs Left Brain test

Do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?
(if she's not moving, click on the picture...)

If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa. Apparently most people would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise, and you can try to focus and change the direction.

I could only see the dancer turning clockwise, but when I read something and go back to her, she turns anti-clockwise. Its amazing....

LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS uses logic, detail oriented, facts rule, words and language, present and past, math and science, can comprehend, knowing, acknowledges, order/pattern perception, knows object name, reality based, forms strategies, practical, safe

RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS uses feeling, "big picture" oriented, imagination rules, symbols and images, present and future, philosophy & religion, can "get it" (i.e. meaning), believes, appreciates, spatial perception, knows object function, fantasy based, presents possibilities, impetuous, risk taking

21 days of praying and fasting

I'm so pround of myself that I didn't have a single dose of caffeine in my veins for the past 3 days. I now agree with Ps Derek that the 3nd day is resurraction day!
I feel good~~ deh deh deh deh deh deh deh...

I'm pumped about this 21 days of praying and fasting- about what God has installed for me in my future, my ministry, my family and friends.

Even before I started fasting, God has already given me a glimpse of what to expect during and after the 21 day! **happy**

So no meat, rice, dairy, sweets, COFFEE is nothing! I can do it!
Press on!

When the enemy comes in, like a flood the Spirit of the Lord will raise up a standard against him. (Isaiah 59:19b).

Today is the 7th day of Chienese New Year. Made a serve of 'fried nien-gao' for myself this morning. Reminded me of home, grandma always makes 2 full 'ngo-chun' plates of 'fried nien-gao' for breakfast in 'nien-chu-yi' before we go for Lunar New Year church service.
...yum...

This year I received 2 ang-paus. Happy. Considering I'm in Adelaide!

Happy time flies...

Have been back for a month, happy times do fly... With 2 days to go, I've almost completed my 'must-do/shopping' list. :)

It has, so far, been a good and fruitful trip.
... countdown with pengg.
... spent some quality time while travelling with family.
... lepak with church friends and cousins.
... catch-ups with uni friends, college friends, highschool friends, primaryschool friends, and even tadika friends whom I haven't seen since I left Beaufort bout 8 years ago!
... congratulated a few engaged, married, pregnant friends.
... got called 'aunty' by some friend's little girl (not funny).
... got called '3-D' by a long-time-no-see friend (also not funny).
... Sabah ngau-chap, Kajang satay, Klang bah-kut-teh, char-gui-teow with extra si-ham, Shogun jap food, breakfast dim-sum, Teluk Gong seafood, Galleria burger ramli, roti pisang kaya + teh-o-ais limau, DD's double choc doughnut, homecooked crab, durian, yau-cha-kueh kahwin + a whole lot of other kuehs, gee no wonder I lost my voice twice in a month (AND be called 3-D!)
... shopping for dvds @ Sg Wang, it was quite an experience, I felt like I was in 'The Departed'!
... shopping for shoes @ Vincci's (though I'm not as 'kiong' as Sheenzie haha)
... window shopping in sg, quite depressing.

Good stuff can go on and on...

Do not focus too much on making new resolutions each year, as God has a destination for each of us. Instead, work towards how we can grow closer to Him in His plan for us.
